Technologies at Our Dental Clinic

At Cornwall Dental Care, the technology we use helps to inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments run smoothly. Because we can display digital X-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any issues in your mouth and walk you through your treatment plan.

Our goal is to provide patients with dental care while making sure they are fully informed about their oral health. Dental technology helps us do that.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that wouldn't otherwise be visible.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays allow us to create a single image of the whole mouth. This image is a flat depiction of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, nasal and sinus structures, and temporomandibular joints (TMJ). These X-rays can help determine treatment for dentures, braces, extractions, and implants.

Dental Lasers

In dentistry, lasers (focused light beams) can be used in a variety of procedures. They allow dentists to perform dental procedures with less pain and medical interference. At Cornwall Dental Care, our dentists use soft tissue lasers to remove overgrown or decayed tissue, reshape the gums, and address other gum issues.

iTero® 3D Scanner

With the iTero intraoral scanner, your dentist can capture accurate 3D impressions of your teeth and bite. These images are used to illustrate potential outcomes, create custom Invisalign aligners and restorations such as crowns and bridges, and monitor your treatment progress. These images are stored digitally for your dentist to access.
